All KAOL schools and offices will continue to operate on a limited basis through Thursday, May 21.  On Tuesday, May 26, all offices will be opened from 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday each week.  We will be practicing social distancing so when you come into one of the offices we ask that you just step inside and we will be happy to talk to you from afar.  Thank you, in advance, for helping keep us all safe and well.

Good Afternoon,

Governor Ducey has closed schools for the remainder of the school year.  At this time we are working on our continued plan to provide educational opportunities to your children.  Your administrative team will meet this afternoon to determine next steps.  For the time being, please continue to work on your packets and stay tuned for more information.

Our school offices will be closed to the public until further notice. You may drop off completed work in the bin outside the School Support Center at 3410 N. Burbank.  The bin is available from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Monday - Thursday

AVERAGE TEACHER SALARY

As posted on our FY20 Budget Forms

Average salary of all teachers employed in the budget year 2020

$ 46,821

Average salary of all teachers employed in the prior year 2019

$ 43,725

Increase in average teacher salary from the prior year 2019

$ 3,096

Percentage increase

7.0810%

Comments on Average Salary Calculation (Optional):

For 2019-2020, we had many open teaching positions. The salaries of the new teachers who were hired were lower than those salaries of the teachers who left due to their experience levels. Therefore, the result is a skewed percentage of increase in the salaries. The percentage of increase in average teacher salary of continuing teachers is 10.0389%.

AVERAGE CONTINUING TEACHER SALARY

Average salary calculated using all teachers who were employed in 2019 and 2020 in their current positions.

Average salary of teachers employed in the budget year 2020

$ 47,596

Average salary of teachers employed in the prior year 2019

$ 43,254

Increase in average teacher salary from the prior year 2019

$ 4,342

Percentage increase

10.0389%

Comments on Average Continuing Salary Calculation (Optional):

For this calculation, only teachers who were employed in FY2019 and who stayed in their same positions in FY2020 were calculated in this average. This eliminated scenarios that skew the average: experienced teachers who left and who were replaced with less experienced teachers.
